Introduction to the Discrète DSM 1.0 Pool Alarm

The Discrète DSM 1.0 alarm features a system for detecting immersion and body falls. It installs simply and discreetly under the coping of in-ground, semi-recessed, or above-ground pools. Additionally, it’s compatible with roller shutters and protective covers due to its position under the coping. Its action radius is 7 meters; beyond that, multiple alarms are needed to cover the complete pool surface. The Discrète DSM 1.0 alarm complies with the French standard NFP 90-307-1 for private pool safety.

Operation of the Discrète DSM 1.0 Pool Alarm

The Discrète DSM 1.0 alarm is equipped with a pressure sensor system connected to specific software, which prevents any false alarms. It can distinguish between interference waves (waterfall, filtration, rain, wind) and those emitted by a body falling into the water. In case of a fall or immersion of a user in the pool, the alarm sensor detects it and alerts with a powerful 100 dB siren.

No False Alarms

The Discrète DSM 1.0 pool alarm has a “Swimming” mode and a “Surveillance” mode. The current operating mode is indicated by an easy-to-understand light indicator:

• Surveillance: Red light indicator
• Swimming: Blue light indicator

The return to “Surveillance” mode is automatic 2 minutes after swimming (that is, 2 minutes without any presence being detected). A series of sound signals (consecutive “beeps”) announce the automatic reactivation of the “Surveillance” mode. You can also force switching to “Surveillance” mode with the remote control or magnet.

Easy Alarm Deactivation

The siren can be stopped at any time using the remote control or magnet. Although the Visiopool alarm has a 100 dB siren, the system should not be placed too far from the house to ensure a maximum reaction time of 3 minutes (including rescue in the pool).
