Detailed description
Stainless steel guide (ski) for final slats of Above-Ground pool rolling shutters
This ski fits on the PVC slats of pool shutters.
Discreet and resistant, this stainless steel ski allows the rolling shutter to enter the water fluidly and optimally. Your shutter will roll out in the right direction.
Technical Characteristics
- Length: 9cm
- Width: 5cm
- Thickness: 0.1cm (1mm)
- Hook height: 0.5cm (5mm)
- Hook width: 2.4cm
Why install a water entry guide on your pool cover?
A fluid and snag-free immersion
Without a ski, the final slat of a cover can sometimes “bump” against the wall or stay blocked at the surface due to the water’s surface tension. The stainless steel ski acts as a hydrodynamic guide. It allows the cover to be directed by diving naturally and smoothly, thus avoiding jerks on the motor of your shutter.
Anti-corrosion protection and extreme durability
Unlike plastic guide models that can yellow, become brittle with UV rays, or deteriorate with chlorine, stainless steel offers total resistance :
Unalterable: Does not fear no chemical treatment (salt electrolysis, chlorine, bromine).
Thinness (1 mm): At only 1 mm thick, it creates no unsightly extra thickness and respects the aesthetics of your pool.
Preservation of the liner and your pool walls
By guiding the cover in the correct unrolling direction, this immersion accessory prevents unnecessary friction against the coping or the lining. It provides additional security to avoid micro-scratches on your pool’s liner or reinforced PVC.
Compatibility and Installation Tips for your pool cover
This model was specifically designed as a spare part for PVC slats. Its ergonomic shape perfectly matches the profile of the end slat for absolute discretion once the cover is closed.
How many skis should you plan for your pool cover?
For optimal efficiency and perfect balance of the slat cover during deployment, we recommend installing one stainless steel ski every meter.
Expert tip: Regularly check the condition of your guides during winterizing to ensure a stress-free restart in the spring.
