24V DC Unicum motor providing 120 Nm and 4rpm with 5A current suitable for above-ground pool safety shutters (Totem type).

Frictionless magnetic brake

This motor for above-ground pool covers incorporates a permanent magnet holding brake patented by UNICUM. This brake (CONSTANT POSITION SYSTEM) holds the cover in position even when there is no electrical current. Compared with a conventional electromagnetic brake, this brake uses neither friction pads nor a control system. There is no contact between the permanent magnets, so it is impossible for the brake to get stuck. This improves motor reliability.

Reinforced output shaft in burnished steel

The construction of the Unicum motor benefits from a number of design innovations to strengthen its construction. The motor output shaft is made of passivated (burnished) steel for better long-term protection against corrosion.

Mechanical end-of-stroke adjustment for greater reliability

MLS (MECHANICAL LIMIT SWITCH) limit switches are mechanical. They are therefore inherently insensitive to the electromagnetic disturbances often encountered around swimming pools (storms, in particular).
