Swimming Pool Liner: the different types of fastening systems
The way a pool liner is secured is a crucial point to consider when creating or refurbishing your pool. Here are the three main types of liner attachment: hung attachment, overlap attachment, and sheet metal attachment.
Hung Attachment
The “hung” attachment type is the most commonly used fixing method for pools. A track is generally installed all around the pool, combined with a flexible PVC attachment that is factory-welded to the liner.
The two elements fit together perfectly. This method is generally used for in-ground pools and wooden pools.

Sheet Metal Attachment
Sheet metal liner attachment is generally used for above-ground pools with a steel or sheet metal structure, as its name suggests.
A U-shaped profile is welded to the top of the liner, thus covering the top of the metal sheet. A fixing clip is then added to “pinch” this profile and hold the liner in place.

Overlap Attachment
“Overlap” liner attachment is less common but is found in a small proportion of above-ground pools.
This method consists of leaving an excess of 15 cm of material behind the wall. This overlap is then secured using a track that hooks onto the part covered by the liner.

If you have any questions regarding your attachment type, do not hesitate to email a photo to our team. When purchasing your liner, you can also order your hung attachment tracks. You can also add a locking bead, available in the same shade as the liner. This ensures an impeccable finish!
