8 steps to install your pool roller shutter

The main steps for installing a roller shutter for your swimming pool

#1 – Position the shutter axis between the two stands

These stands are designed to receive it by carefully following the instructions provided in the manual; then, place the stands in their location (indicated in the manual), without fixing them permanently.

#2 – Adjusting the pool support

If the pool coping stones are protruding, it will be necessary to cut them slightly so that the shutter can operate correctly. To do this, check the cutting dimensions stated in the guide, mark them with a pencil, then perform a vertical cut using a grinder. (this step may not be necessary depending on your pool configuration)

#3 – Fix the shutter stands to the ground

Use a drill and the appropriate screws, after confirming they are straight and level. If your pool shutter is motorized, plan for the cable to pass through a conduit.

#4 – Assemble the shutter slats together

It is advisable to arrange and snap the slats together progressively on the water surface (be more careful if the water is below 10°C as PVC becomes rigid), starting from the reel side. We invite you to watch our video to understand the shutter slats assembly method.

#5 – Attach the shutter apron to the axis

Screw the straps onto the apron to properly hold the shutter on the axis.

#6 – Fully roll and then unroll the slats

This allows you to verify that the pool shutter installation has been carried out correctly.

#7 – Set the shutter limit switch

Adjust the pool shutter limit switch by following the instructions in the manual.

#8 – Connection of the pool shutter electrical box.

For a motorized pool shutter, install an electrical box in the technical room to connect the control unit.
