GRE Steel Pools: the different structure colors

GRE steel pools are made of cold-rolled steel and undergo a treatment including galvanization, phosphating, priming, and lacquering. The cutouts for the skimmer and the return nozzle are already made to facilitate assembly.
The choice of exterior pattern or color is entirely based on your preferences and your garden layout. The anthracite grey color, very trendy recently, blends harmoniously with composite or wood decking boards. The white color, meanwhile, goes perfectly with raw wood elements. All tastes are represented in the offer proposed by this above-ground pool manufacturer.

External buttresses: visible or integrated?

What is external buttressing? The longer the chosen above-ground pool, the more its central structure is subjected to significant water pressure that can weaken it. To prevent the steel sheet from cracking, it is essential to support it with posts or buttresses. These elements can be visible or integrated directly into the structure of the pool. In this case, it is often necessary to dig a trench in the ground to place these reinforcements before installing the pool. Feel free to consult the documents available on the product sheet of the chosen pool.
Technically, both options are equivalent and offer excellent durability. The choice will mainly depend on the available space to install the pool (a version with visible buttresses takes up more space) and your budget (models with integrated reinforcements are generally more expensive).

The filtration of your above-ground pool: cartridge or sand?

The sand filter is by far the most used and widely common filtration method. It consists of two main elements: a filtration pump that draws water from the pool and sends it through a tank filled with sand which catches dirt and debris before the water is returned to the pool.

The cartridge filter, on the other hand, generally consists of a small pump that draws water through a thick paper cartridge.

Traditionally, the sand filter is preferred because the pumps are more powerful (which allows, for example, the use of pool vacuums) and their maintenance is less demanding, as it is enough to clean or replace the sand from time to time.

The cartridge filter, however, allows for finer filtration of particles and impurities. Nevertheless, it must be rinsed almost every day and the pump power is not sufficient to add a robot or a vacuum.
